I am a sinner saved by the grace of God, trusting in the finished work of the risen Savior, Jesus Christ, alone. I am blessed to be a husband and father and presently reside in Bristol, Virginia. My wife and I are church members at Fellowship Chapel in Bristol, Virginia.
I preach in a supply capacity and teach hermeneutics and OT survey with the Cumberland Area Pulpit Supply, a ministry I received training from a few years ago. I am taking courses toward the Master of Divinity degree through the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky (currently by Internet, but hoping to begin studies either on campus or at an extension center in the near future).
The purpose of this blog is to point sinners to the glory of God revealed in Jesus Christ and promote Christlikeness through the examination of the Bible and Christian theology and resources that will help us understand, express, and live the truth. (2 Corinthians 3:18)
